ÖZÑ VALLE - Irreversible

Creative Direction, Typography & Visual Storytelling
For this project, I designed and produced the official lyric video for ÖZÑ VALLE’s song, “Irreversible.” Working collaboratively with the artist and Rivercam.
In many ways, the lyric video wrote itself. The song feels deeply personal, almost like a love letter, we chose a handwritten typographic style to represent the artist’s inner thoughts and emotions. The handwritten lettering creates intimacy, while allowing the lyrics to feel as though they are being written directly to someone from the artist’s past.
Throughout the video, soft transitions are contrasted with sharp, sudden cuts.
The softer moments reflect love, memory, and vulnerability, while the harder cuts emphasize realizations and the painful emotions that continue to haunt the artist. This contrast became an important part of expressing what it feels like to love someone while carrying the pain of an irreversible past.
Typography was also used to separate the artist’s emotions from the voices of the his lover’s parents. The artist’s perspective is presented through expressive handwritten lettering, while the parents’ dialogue uses a structured serif typeface to communicate respect, tradition, and authority.
We also referenced the use of black and red typography commonly associated with certain Bible designs.
This visual choice presents the parents’ words as a form of sacred ruling, reinforcing the weight and authority their opinions hold within the story.
